Description

The Marketing Director will be responsible for initiating and driving an integrated marketing strategy with a focus on developing new acquisition channels, refining current channels and ensuring strong customer retention. This role will also be responsible for analyzing and improving our performance across different platforms that drive customer acquisition, engagement, education, retention and loyalty. This position will lead the brand strategy and take complete ownership of top-line results.

The ideal candidate must be very familiar with current market trends in the SaaS industry and has previous experience of driving transformative change in their industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the strategic marketing vision and marketing plan.
  • Define both short- and long-term marketing objectives for RightCom.
  • Monitor competition and market trends to align RightCom’s strategy.
  • Support the process of strategic planning by helping the company develop its products, prices, sales channels and promotion instruments.
  • Build a marketing-driven culture.
  • Work on identifying its competitive strategy and advantage.
  • Create KPI’s/Metrics that align to sales goals and company growth.
  • Implement a scalable demand generation function (including choosing and implementing the necessary platforms, nurturing, scoring, etc.).
  • Define and execute targeted and measurable online/offline lead generation and nurturing programs that drive awareness and build healthy pipeline to the top of the funnel.
  • Continuously set and hit aggressive quarterly acquisition and conversion goals.
  • Develop the system of gathering and presenting to all internal stakeholders all relevant market and competition data: market sizes, dynamics, trends, competitors, products etc.
  • Develop and execute targeted campaigns including brand development and demand generation.
  • Own all content development for all marketing and sales initiatives, including but not limited to the following: website content, blogs, articles, white-papers, communications content, collateral content, etc.
  • Build industry alliances and partnerships for successful promotion of brand and opportunity development.
  • Strategize, build, and drive co-branded, go-to-market initiatives and campaigns.
  • Support global sales and account management teams in their efforts to win new accounts and expand in existing ones.
  • Build marketing playbook that provides specific content to each stage in RightCom’s sales process.
  • Innovate to deliver the right portfolio of events to touch our top markets and drive maximum impact across our top cities.
  • Work closely with product management and engineering to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages; identify, prioritize and launch product modifications / additions to improve customer satisfaction, revenue and retention.
  • Become an expert on our customers, their goals and activities.
  • Develop ideas for generating unpaid acquisition programs (i.e. word of mouth, content marketing, community programs, etc.).
  • Work closely with the executive leadership and sales teams across our markets to create visibility around pipeline progress, as well as improvement programs.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for RightCom’s spokespersons at industry executive events, to the media, to industry analysts, partners, customers, and other key audiences for company positioning and messaging.

  • 10-15+ years of marketing experience primarily within Enterprise SaaS industry.
  • 3-5+ years management experience, hiring, organizing, motivating and managing a team.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit/mindset, flexibility toward dynamic change.
  • An “Out of the Box” thinker who is both creative and innovative.
  • Strong knowledge of B2B services industry.
  • Ability to be a role model for others and be a true leader.
  • Data-driven leadership skills with multi-layered understanding of business economics and drivers.

  • Relentless in the execution of marketing plans and achieving the goals across online and traditional channels.
  • A strategic thinker with strong tactical acumen.
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence in both product and solutions marketing, and in crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content.
  • Command of B2B marketing disciplines from acquisition/demand generation to conversion and retention marketing.
  • Proven creative thinker that can generate and execute on breakout marketing ideas.
  • Proven track record of demonstrated achievement meeting and exceeding aggressive goals.
  • Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment, and the organizational skills needed to execute and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Creativity and ability to craft a story around a brand or product.
  • A passion for building businesses and for growing global brands.
  • Fluent in English and French is a plus.
